learn chinese

June 20, 2008

i’ve come across this site in my endless searches for a specific type of dictionary (i might need to create it on my own cause i cant find a decent solution anywhere).

www.nciku.com – is a very unique dictionary and i hope more dictionaries will follow this format. what is new in this site you might ask, the answer is simple – you can type a full sentense and it will give you the different options on how to say it in chinese. the tool also offer a variety of options for diffrent situations so you really know what you are saying in the approprate situation.

anyways, i dont speak chinese and my english isnt that great either but still i think this is a great tool to know and perhaps use. after all, chinese is the most spoken language in the world…

morning y’all,
i know this is the 2nd video of a specific ethnic group but they were right next to each other on youtube and both are as funny to me. i guess you need to be very bord in order to do something like this.
my favorite – check out the guy who is posing to the camera, he is such a tool!

ok, this is one funny video and i am not trying to make fun of any ethnic group or anything.

i’m ot sure what there is to say about this video beside the following:
1. turn the sound on before playing it (half the fun is listening to the guy)
2. who runs with a dress???
3. you do not place a tredmill so close to the wall…

luigi calzone

June 17, 2008

so, i was in australia few years back and decided to play a little alter ego drinking night. this means that you decide on a character and plays it thru out the night. as i was in the land down under i could choose whichever character and they will never pick up on the acting…

back to the story, the chosen alter ego was simple – italian with the most ridiculous name of luigi (i was still new to this alter ego drinking night so i did not have a last name for the character). as i was walking from bar to bar with my two friends the character picked up additional features such as job, place of birth, work and even a last name…(i was pretty drunk and this one girl asked for my last name – first thing that came to mind was calzone thinking this is so silly italian that it will be a dead giveaway BUT the girl’s reaction was “oh my god, this is so italian!” – WOW!!! i love OZies!)

later on that night we ended up in some dive bar where everyone was drunk and few american girls took the offer and joined us for few last drinks. i wont get into details as it is not appropriate but i have to say it was a great ending to a funny night and gave me a great last memory of the country.

oh, on a last note, i spoke italian thruout the night but the fact is that i only know 2 words in the language. just to show you can be whoever you want with just a little bit of confidence and few pints of beer.

ciao,
muk
